Federal Safety Accreditation (OFSC)
The Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) is an Australian government body in charge of enhancing workplace health and safety (WHS) standards in the building and construction industries.
What does the OFSC do?
- Collaborates with industry and the government to establish high WHS standards for construction projects.
- Manages the Australian Government’s Building and Construction Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme.
- Promotes safe practices throughout the building industry.
Only builders with OFSC accreditation can enter into head contracts for building work that is funded directly or indirectly by the Australian Government.
